MCR®/MCRS®/CAS PROGRAMS
Senior management has finally heard the message:
Corporate real estate proactively and creatively managed does increase productivity and
shareholder value. Corporations acclaimed by Wall Street for aggressive management of
company resources recognize the importance of professionally trained corporate real estate
specialists. Most of the Fortune 500 companies are represented in the cadre of Institute
students and graduates. Although the Master and Advanced Study programs require a higher
level of commitment and motivation than attending a single course, the benefits are
substantially greater.
MCR® The Master for Corporate Real Estate
MCRS® The Master for Corporate Real Estate Services
CAS The Institute Certificate of Advanced Study
These programs:
- immediately raise your level of on-the-job performance.
- give you the knowledge and skills you need to maximize the
value you personally add to your corporation.
- help you clarify and give you a plan for allocating the
time and money necessary for achieving specific educational goals.
The Real Estate Specialty Areas for the CAS Program
The CAS programs provide the integrated and structured
courses you need to develop competence and achieve recognition in three important
corporate real estate specialty areas:
CAS Corporate Real Estate Management
CAS Corporate Real Estate Finance

completed the program.
- increases the likelihood of you being called upon
for higher levels of challenges within your current job.

for promotions.
Completing a specialized Institute program in corporate
real estate is a strong message to your employer that you care about your work, that you
are willing to go "above and beyond" normal expectations to further develop your
abilities.

Test-Based Honors Program: MCR.h and
MCRS.h
The "dot h" program provides a vehicle for
MCR/MCRS designees to develop and demonstrate competence across the broad spectrum of
corporate real estate specialty areas. Corporate real estate executives can benchmark the
level and scope of their professional knowledge. The "dot h" program is an
excellent vehicle for meeting the designation CPD credit requirement.
Passing the Institute's Honors Test entitles designees to
add "dot h" to their base designation.
The 50-item, multiple-choice test is offered four times
per year in conjunction with the Institute's national program in major cities and
additionally during the Annual NACORE Symposium & Exposition. The test is
curriculum-based and documented in the Institute's Applied Executive Skills Book Series.
All MCR/MCRS designees who wish to sit for the Honors
Test will have immediate and equal access to the knowledge base which is covered by the
Omnibus Honors Test. The Honors Test is based on and is the pinnacle of the Institute's
continuous research project. This research was begun in 1991 with the behavioral analysis
of 783 case examples documenting the actual, on-the-job performance of 259 corporate real
estate executives.
